Africa Update

Dear Friends and Family,

First of all, I’d like to say that I am thankful for each one of you. I don’t get to see you all every week or even every month. You are each important to me, and I value your friendship!

I’m writing today with an update on my trip to Uganda this summer. I hope you’ve had a chance to read my support letter – if not, now is a good time to go grab it and read it. It’s only one page :). I’m so grateful for those who have already invested financially. I’ve raised over half of my goal, but I still need have more to go to reach 100%. Would you consider joining with me?

I also want to share about the timing of the trip. We were originally scheduled to go in the middle of June. However, one of our team members had an unexpected family emergency. Because of this, our trip has been rescheduled for the week of September 19th. This certainly was not in the plans, but I am learning to be flexible and roll with the circumstances. I am still fully committed and planning to go!

Please pray with me that God will direct our planning efforts over the coming months. There are still vaccinations to get, packing checklists to make, and more importantly, preparing my heart and my body for Africa. I cherish your prayers.

“All funds received for this trip are considered as gifts to World Music Mission/A.C.T. Intl and are tax deductible. While the gift you make will be credited to my portion of the funds required for the trip, in the event that I am unable to participate all monies raised will be used to offset the costs incurred for the trip or to fund ministries on the field where we are going to serve. Further, since my balance is due (2) weeks prior to date of departure, any donations received by WMM/ACT after that date may be applied to another later mission trip/project. Please do not decrease your normal giving to your home church in order to support this mission project.”
